Why we started?
In a world filled with distractions and uncertainties, I, as a parent, realized the importance of instilling a lifelong love for Islam in the hearts of my children. The rapid pace of modern life and the ever-increasing influence of the digital age made me acutely aware of the need to connect our children with the beauty and wisdom of Islam, a foundation that would guide them through life’s challenges.
Nurify Books is owned and operated by Muslims, with no external factors that will prevent us from serving the Muslim ummah.
In my quest to find effective ways to foster this love for Islam, I stumbled upon a powerful tool: personalisation. Intrigued by the potential, I delved into the research and discovered a remarkable statistic: children find personalised books a staggering 40% more engaging than their non-personalised counterparts. This discovery fueled my passion to bring the magic of personalisation to Islamic literature, to create books that speak directly to each child’s heart, soul, and identity.

The funds raised will enable us to create high-quality, captivating books that will engage children and nurture their love for Islam. There are over 3.4 million Muslims in the UK, making Islam the second largest religion.
However, only around 2% of mainstream children’s books in the UK contain Muslim characters.
A 2019 study found that of the 9,000+ children books published in the UK that year, only 1% featured Muslim characters, showing the lack of representation.
60% of Muslim parents surveyed feel there is a lack of Islamic books for their children that also engage them.
Over 80% of Muslim parents said they are concerned about lack of Islamic values and representation in mainstream school books.

The process is long and complicated!
£6,000 to create a singular book, wow! that’s a lot of money you might think.
It has taken us 4 years, and lots of time, money and enthusiasm to build this experience, if this was not a project of love, Nurify Books would never have got off the ground!
To those that are not familiar with professional publishing, the cost of going to a professional publishing book company, it would cost more than £6,000 to create one book, let alone a process that is recreated hundreds of times to produce a bespoke and unique book for every child!
